2:62

"Indeed, those who believe (in the Qur'an and call themselves Muslims), and those who are Jews, and Christians and the Sabians; whoever truly believes in God and the Last Day and does works that benefit humanity, their reward is with their Lord. For them shall be no fear from without, nor shall grief touch them from within."

Similar message is stated in 5:69.

My question is, does this refer to Jews, Christians and Sabians of the past ONLY [those that existed before the advent of Islam] or does this include Jews, Christians, Sabians [not sure if they exist anymore] of the post-Islamic times also; past, present, future?
