61:06 : Who was Prophet Ahmad?

The verse is referring to Jesus who was told to convey the revelation he had received to mankind and with this he spoke about another messenger/prophet who would be coming after him. Jesus spoke Aramaic and used the term Mawhamana, ‘praised one’ which was translated into Greek as Periclytos, and rendered as comforter in the English translation. It is referring to the Last Messenger of God, Muhammad, also meaning praised one.

Ahmad and Muhammad are both titles for the individual who came in the sixth century, which later became proper names for him. [If I say have you seen the fight between the Greatest and George Foreman, you will know I am speaking about Muhammad Ali, the boxer]

61:6 (The same happened when) Jesus son of Mary said, “O Children of Israel! I am a Messenger of God to you. I confirm (the truth in) the Torah, and give you the good news of a Messenger to come after me whose name shall be Ahmad (The praised One).” But when he does come to them with self-evident truth, the People of the Scripture will say, “This is obvious magic (a spellbinding utterance).”
[Gospel of John: 14:16, 15:26, 16:7 Paracletos = Comforter, from original Greek Periclytos = The praised one. In Aramaic, Mawhamana = The praised one]

Hope that answers your question, if not please continue to ask away.
